High Winds Slam Muleshoe

See some of the damage caused by high winds in Muleshoe, Texas, on March 13, 2019, that also knocked electricity service out in parts of the area. The high wind gust so far in Muleshoe was 67mph at 3:25pm, Morton was 70mph at 3pm, Friona was 73mph at 1:45pm and Earth was 68mph at 4:59pm. Mid-March Storm Brings Over an Inch of Rain

See some of the storm scenes from March 12, 2019, in the Muleshoe, Texas, area as the Muleshoe Mesonet site just south of town got 1.15”, Channel 6 NWS Station in Muleshoe got 1.15” and the Earth Mesonet site next to Tolk Plant got 1.50” of rain.  Chances for isolated thunderstorms continue overnight with Wednesday bringing an extremely windy day with a High Wind Warning already in effect from 10a.m.-10p.m. Tuesday’s rain brings our 2019 rainfall total at the Muleshoe Mesonet site to 1.59”.
